Visa & Immigration in France

Most non-EU newcomers arrive on a long-stay visa (VLS-TS) that doubles as a residence permit once validated with the OFII, or apply for a dedicated residence permit (titre de séjour) such as the Passeport Talent. Renewals and most steps now run through your local prefecture (préfecture) and the online ANEF portal. The guides below cover each visa route, from students and workers to family reunion, plus residence-permit renewal.
